Latest News: From the combination of two Italian greats in the fields of technology, innovation, care over detail and the quest for performance, the Abarth 695 Rivale is born, the special series conceived in partnership with Riva. This historical brand of the nautical world, which has always been synonymous with Italian elegance and style, contributed to creating the most sophisticated Abarth ever.  Available in a limited series of sedan and cabriolet versions, the Abarth 695 Rivale can be recognised by its exclusive livery: two-tone Riva Sera Blue and Shark Grey paintwork, embellished with an aquamarine double stripe that runs at waistline height, resembling the "beauty line" on yachts. The satin chrome finish on the door handles, the "695 Rivale" name on the tailgate and rear bumpers, the satin chrome moulding on the tailgate, which evokes the sophisticated shapes of a yacht, making this model even more unmistakable thanks to its aesthetic affinity with the side grilles on the new Riva yachts. So much charm comes from the usual quest for better performance through the constant technical upgrading that characterises every Abarth car: in fact, under the bonnet of the 695 Rivale, hides a 1368 cm3 engine, which guarantees a maximum power of 180 HP and a torque of 250 Nm. The power-to-weight ratio of the 695 Rivale is that of a real supercar (5.8 kg/HP with a mass of 1045 kg) and its performance is extraordinary: a maximum speed of 225 km/h and 6.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. It is, therefore, a car that can satisfy sophisticated customers looking for elegance, sophistication and performance. Together with the Abarth 695 Rivale, the 695 Rivale 175 Anniversary is also unveiled to celebrate 175 years of the Riva brand, which was founded in 1842. This "ultra-limited edition" accentuates the handcrafted finishes by adding customised elements, special wheel rims, celebratory logos and hand-finished blue and black leather front seats. 175 sedan and 175 cabriolet versions are available. A car for hot asphalt that comes from the water The aim of the 695 Rivale is to exceed Abarth's traditional values and embrace Riva's unmistakable charm to satisfy the need for exciting performance combined with a higher level of sophistication and elegance. Its style is inspired by the very new open Riva "56 Rivale", one of the most agile and efficient yachts ever built by the boatyard in Sarnico. Traits that it has in common with the 695 Rivale, which also borrows some of Riva's typical stylistic aspects to highlight the concept of elegance and character that sets it apart. In fact, the yacht and the car share some aesthetic elements, like Riva's characteristic grey livery and the satin chrome mouldings. Inside, the carbon fibre kick plates, blue leather seats and interior door panels, black mats with blue inserts and the carbon fibre or mahogany dashboard are variants available on request to give the car even more nautical look. Wood - the most natural of materials - is combined with most advanced technological solutions for a result of absolute excellence, just like on Riva yachts: the perfect combination of ultimate technology and expert craftsmanship. The mahogany variant allows you to embrace the Riva philosophy in greater depth: in addition to the dashboard strip, the special steering wheel is covered in blue and black leather with a mahogany badge, blue leather instrument panel cover and mahogany gear lever knob and kick plate. The technological content is also excellent: as standard there is UconnectTM infotainment with a 7" HD touch screen, ready for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also a hand-written numbered plate, which can be customised with the mane of your yacht on request: an original way of making the new Abarth 695 Rivale into a high performance land tender. Finally, the Abarth character is clearly visible in the Akrapovi? exhaust system with carbon tail pipes, in the Brembo brakes with black, 4-piston fixed callipers at the front, in the 17" Supersport alloy rims with special gloss grey finish and in the Abarth by Koni suspension with FSD (Frequency-Selective Damping) technology. Thanks to its unique features, the Abarth 695 Rivale is an Instant Classic, with everything needed to become part of the tight circle of the Abarth Register, which only includes the most exclusive cars with the technical or historical requirements to make them "collector's pieces". A tribute to Riva's 175 years Abarth and Riva share a rich history, and consistently work on their heritage to shape their future. The stories of Carlo Abarth and Carlo Riva are two great Italian stories, of two men who had a dream, and who made it into a legend. Both of them had the courage to push their thoughts beyond the usual mould, thereby giving the world cars and boats of absolute excellence that over time have become global icons. In 2017 Riva celebrates 175 years, a threshold that very few companies in the world can boast. To celebrate this special birthday, Abarth has come up with an ultra-limited production of the 695 Rivale, the 175 Anniversary: 175 sedans and 175 cabriolets. It is an edition to celebrate Italian know-how, with hand crafted details like the two-colour blue and black hand-stitched leather seats with a celebratory logo stitched onto the headrest, the carbon dashboard silk screen printed with the special logo, the special numbered plate inside and the celebratory badge on the outside of the pillar. The design of the 17" alloy rims is also special. To find out more, contact us today.

FCA in forefront at “Goodwood Festival of Speed 2016” :  From 23 to 26 June, the English county of West Sussex will host one of the most prestigious events of international motor sports. Making an appearance at the happening will be several rare classic cars of the Alfa Romeo, Abarth and Fiat brands, along with the latest new FCA models, to reassert the eternal link between the icons of the past and the cars currently being produced. FCA is taking part in the 2016 edition of the famous "Goodwood Festival of Speed" that will take place from 23 to 26 June in the English county of West Sussex. It is considered one of the most important international events dedicated to motor sports. The event, comprising the Hillclimb Race, themed shows and exhibitions of historical and current cars, annually draws a crowd of more than 150,000 fans and collectors from around the world. Also taking part in the prestigious event are several rare classic Alfa Romeo, Abarth and Fiat vehicles from the FCA Heritage collection, the new structure that coordinates all the company's activities in the world of classic motoring. In particular, the Alfa Romeo brand is displaying models such as the Giulia TI Super (1963), 1750 GT Am (1970), 33 TT 12 (1975) and 33.3-litre Le Mans (1970), all belonging to the Alfa Romeo Historic Museum in Arese named "La macchina del tempo" (information and opening hours on the site www.museoalfaromeo.com). The line-up is completed with the legendary 124 Abarth Rally Gr. 4 (1975) and the Fiat S 61 Corsa (1908). The classic cars will be on display at the Brooklands Paddock, and some of them will face the main attraction of the Festival of Speed, the "mixed-fast" track of the Goodwood Hillclimb. The track almost 2-kilometres long begins with a tree-lined road going through the southern corner of the Goodwood Estate, to then turn decisively in front of the Goodwood House before climbing up a fraught and narrow road enclosed by stone walls and thick forests heading toward the racetrack, which dominates on the top of the majestic South Downs. It should be noted that the difference in track height from start to finish is nearly 100 metres, and it is particularly technical and difficult, to the point of putting a strain on the skills of concentration and speed of the best drivers in the world. Finally, these rare vehicles will be accompanied by the latest new FCA models, confirming that eternal link between the icons of the past and the vehicles currently produced by the group. On hand to represent Alfa Romeo will be the 4C Spider supercar, the brand's modern icon, and the new Giulietta and Mito which have recently been refreshed and now display a strong family feeling with the new Giulia. It is precisely the latter that will be the undisputed star of the English event - in the Super and Quadrifoglio versions - which not only makes the brand's most authentic statement, but is also a symbol of Italian technological excellence and styling. The English event is also the perfect opportunity to get a close-up look at the latest Abarth products, ranging from the new Abarth 124 spider, a genuine roadster that guarantees all the excitement and pleasure of driving a high performance car developed by the Abarth Racing Team, to the new Abarth 595 Competizione, the evolution of the Abarth icon that has won over enthusiasts worldwide from 2008 to present. The spotlight is also trained on the new Abarth 124 Rally, a concentrate of pure technology and performance resulting from the Abarth Racing Team's experience to bring the brand back to the most glorious and demanding rally races. A special mention goes to the fully immersive experience based on Virtual Reality technology that will allow the guests of the brand's stand to uncover every single detail of the new Abarth 124 spider. By using a dedicated tool and aided by latest generation technologies, users will be able to move around the car, open its doors, sit inside and press the accelerator pedal to savour the sound of its engine and tailpipes, all immersed in a virtual reality. They will also have the chance to configure the new Abarth 124 spider to their liking and receive the configuration by email should they want to purchase it from any Abarth dealer. The excitement of driving Abarth cars can be relived through membership of "The Scorpionship", the only official community dedicated to Abarth owners, collectors, club-members and enthusiasts. Registration on thescorpionship.abarth.com website brings with it a series of major advantages, promotions and opportunities, also in relation to racing events and exclusive invitations to encounters for Abarth fans.

Rally presentation for the new Abarth 124 rally in Sardinia :  Presented for the first time last March at the Geneva Motor Show and then at the 100th Targa Florio, the Abarth 124 Rally is making its début on the stage of the World Rally Championship at the Italy-Sardinia Rally, scheduled in June from Thursday 9 to Sunday 12. The car will displayed at the Service Park, the natural stage for exhibiting the ambitious technical DNA of the project. The new Abarth 124 Rally is indeed a pure concentrate of technology and performance, the fruit of the experience of the Abarth Racing Team to bring Abarth back onto the most glorious and challenging rally courses with the special tests where the asphalt is hotter and those made treacherous by the slippery ice.More than forty years after its last official race, the 1976 Monte Carlo Rally, the Abarth 124 Rally is back with the same philosophy: to test road cars' technical solutions under extreme conditions and to guarantee all Abarth customers excellent performance and maximum reliability. It is dedicated to all those who share the brand's sense of challenge and racing world values. Concealed beneath the bonnet is the 1800 cm3 turbocharged direct injection dual overhead camshaft engine. Thanks to the different selectable mappings, it provides power up to 300 HP at 6500 rpm and optimum torque curve, a key element to allow the driver steering and acceleration balance when oversteering. Performance is breathtaking, acceleration is scorching and marked with full, riveting sound. The project was developed to ensure reliability and performance also in the extreme conditions typical of rallies: ice, dirt, dust, water, heat.Even the transmission was designed to enhance performance: the engine is coupled to a rapid 6-speed sequential gearbox with shift paddles and traction is assured by the mechanical self-locking differential. Motor sports, for Abarth, is not only adrenaline, but also testing grounds to experiment with solutions that guarantee performance and excitement. To enhance the 124 Rally's competitiveness, the Abarth Racing Team's engineers have worked with precise objectives: first of all, weight reduction and overall balance. For this reason, the motor is mounted behind the front axle; for the cockpit and the engine compartment, light, resistant materials were used, while the soft top was replaced by a fixed carbon fibre hard top. With these features, weight distribution leans slightly towards the rear axle in order to ensure maximum traction even in low grip conditions. The centre of gravity was further lowered as compared to the road car to the advantage of road grip and straightforward performance. The new Abarth 124 Spider was born light and agile, and the Rally edition was further refined to star in competitions. Homologation in the FIA R-GT category has required structural reinforcements to guarantee even greater stress resistance and the highest safety standards for the crew, and the body now has a safety roll cage, which also has the task of increasing the torsional stiffness and strengthening the attachment points of the "top mounts". The whole design is focused on the search for maximum efficiency and ergonomics, ensuring the crew not only excellent performance, but also attention to every minute detail, such as the arrangement of interior controls and available space in the cockpit.Rallies subject the cars to extreme stresses, and that is why the excellent mechanical scheme of the production car has been developed further. The suspension system - front high double wishbone and rear multilink - provide optimised kinematics and are now installed on special subframes that ensure, at the same time, higher mechanical resistance and considerable reduction in weight, while metal joints guarantee top driving accuracy. To ensure maximum grip in all road conditions and adapt to the different special stages, the Racing Team technicians have been extremely careful in defining the suspension set up possibilities, which offer a broad adjustment of the characteristic angles, a greater bump position for difficult surfaces and, above all, hydraulic 4-way shock absorbers so that behaviour in compression and rebound and response to the high or low frequencies can be configured extremely accurately to indulge the driver's feeling. The first-class mechanics has called for a new generation electronic system both to ensure top performance on the road and to optimise weight and overall dimensions. Thanks to the high level of integration, all the main controls are ergonomically grouped on the steering wheel. In this way the driver can, for example, choose the different calibrations of the engine or select the mode of use of the traction control, from the one designed for fast, high-grip routes to that designed to support driving in low grip conditions. The secondary controls are instead concentrated in the console area to be enabled also by the navigator in critical conditions or during transfers.A modern rally car has to be designed not only to ensure top performance, but also to allow drivers, navigators and technicians to rely on a machine that can meet their expectations and adapt to multiple uses and situations. This is the reason why the new Abarth 124 Rally will offer the possibility to choose different configurations and set ups with real mechanical aspects, such as height from the ground, and the choice of the exterior livery to be reminiscent of the unforgettable triumphs of the Abarth brand in rallies the world over. Finally, the SE139 code of the project is rooted in the pulsing heart of the brand's history, referring directly to Karl Abarth. The abbreviation SE means "Sports" and "Experimental", a direct connection with Abarth's values of craftsmanship and technical progress. The progressive number 139, on the other hand, reminds us that in its 67-year history, Abarth has developed an average of two racing projects per year: an outstanding achievement that few other automotive manufacturers can boast.

Available as hatchback or convertible, the line-up features three trim levels - 595, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione - corresponding to three levels of engine power and tuning. The 595 Competizione is now optionally available with mechanical limited-slip differential (Abarth D.A.M.) to improve traction in extreme conditions. Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) shock absorbers for 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione. New front end with oversized air intake, new and more pronounced rear diffuser and new specific inserts. New polyelliptical headlight clusters and LED daylights are standard. Xenon headlights available on request. The new 17" Granturismo alloy rims are 7% lighter and with more than 50% greater ventilating surface. New body colours: Modena Yellow, Abarth Red, three-layer Iridato White and the Scorpione Black/Podio Blue, Scorpione Black/Record Grey and Pista Grey/Abarth Red two-colour combos. The interiors are even more exclusive with the use of new technical materials, such as Alcantara® and carbon fibre. Corsa by Sabelt leather and Alcantara® seats with carbon shell are available on demand. New sporty flat-bottom steering wheel with viewfinder and a one-of-a-kind racing-derived instrument panel. Début of the Uconnect system - of which two 5'' and 7" HD versions are available with high-def screen, navigator and DAB digital radio - and of the powerful 480 W BeatsAudioTM Hi-Fi system with seven speakers. FCA Bank, dedicated to motorists, is supporting the launch of the New 595 Abarth with an array of specific financing packages, insurance products and services tailored for each European market. It has been just over two months since the launch of Abarth 124 spider and now the brand with the Scorpion trademark is generating buzz again. The New Abarth 595 is the development of the iconic model: more powerful engines, even richer standard equipment and plenty of product innovations, some of which are usually reserved for higher segment cars. With sales kicking off in June across the EMEA region, the new Abarth model is reasserting its reputation as a compact, lightweight and agile car and as a unique model in terms of configuration and tuning. In brief, the New Abarth 595 is the natural heir of the model launched in 2008 and present worldwide. Performance, technology and iconic Italian style are the key factors of a very successful strategy.Available as a hatchback or convertible, the New Abarth 595 is offered with three trim levels (595, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione) and three power levels to satisfy the requirements of increasingly demanding and competent customers. Many of the upgrades introduced are the result of experience gained with the development of the 695 Biposto, dubbed the "smallest supercar", which implements real racing thrills and technology on a street-legal car.The distinctive yet affordable 595 version is the Abarth entry level model and offers all the standard equipment needed to ensure typical Scorpion enjoyment and driving pleasure. What is more, 595 is the ideal base for drivers who want to tune their car over time and make it unique. The 595 Competizione and 595 Turismo versions express other two distinctive souls of Abarth. The first, more "purist", is designed for those who love performance and no-compromise sportiness. The second, on the other hand, makes reference to the typical values of the Italian GTs in a compact size perfect for use in cities.

Abarth alongside the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP at the Italian Gran Prix : Valentino Rossi is looking for success this weekend at the Italian leg of the world tour, the Italian Grand Prix, sixth round of the World MotoGP Championship. Great crowds are expected for this grand event on the circuit immersed in the rolling hills of Tuscany. Expectations are high for the Italian MotoGP, with the key world players challenging each other on the circuit of Mugello. The Movistar Yamaha Team pilots are supported by Abarth, a passionate partner who has already been supporting Movistar Yamaha MotoGP champions for several seasons. The circuit lies across the Apennines and features the most diverse environments and landscapes - from the harsh beauty of the highest areas, to the Sieve Valley with its hundreds of hamlets - and every year it attracts between 100,000 and 150,000 fans for the weekend. This year, adrenaline looks to take centre stage, considering the dominance of the Yamaha pilots in the last GPs, with double wins in Spain and France. The Abarth and Movistar Yamaha MotoGP Team partnership continues this year, promoting a passion for sport and continuous push to exceed one's limits. On the fairings of the YZR-M1 2016, the Abarth Scorpion logo stands out: synonymous with racing, symbol of a unique heritage. The Abarth 595 Yamaha Factory Racing special series is the result of the partnership between Abarth and Yamaha. The two brands have collaborated, developing the car the way a racing bike is usually developed. Designs focused on engine power (up from 140 HP to 160 HP), the BMC filter, the suspension and the shock absorbers (Koni front and rear shock absorbers with FSD valves and Eibach springs), 17" matt black alloy wheel rims and Record Monza exhaust. Finally, since 1 March, the passion that reigns on the racetrack and on board each Abarth car can be found in "The Scorpionship", the brand's only official community dedicated to car owners, collectors, Abarth club members, and fans. Subscribing at the scorpionship.abarth.com website provides plenty of exciting advantages, promotions and racing opportunities as well as exclusive invites to meetings for fans.
