The Award Winning Dacia Brand

Dacia was crowned the 'Best Value Brand' at the Auto Trader New Car Awards 2018. The award, which was voted for by 43,000 real car owners, proves that Dacia is a firm favourite with the public, as Dacia beat out both Skoda and Kia who finished in second and third place respectively. "Value is what the Dacia brand is all about, and this award shows that that message has really struck a chord with car buyers. After all, everyone likes to feel like they’ve got a good deal, and with a Dacia, you’ve every right to feel as smug as you like. No other car company can offer such aggressive pricing, offering a new-car alternative for buyers on a used-car budget. Long may it continue" says Ivan Aistrop, the Road Test Editor for Auto Trader.

DACIA REVISES DUSTER LINE-UP AND LAUNCHES NEW AIR AND NAV+ TRIM LEVELS

Dacia has revised its Duster line-up and launched two brand new trim levels. The Duster range is now available to order in Access, Air and Nav+ trims. The new Air trim starts at just £10,995 and features air conditioning, DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, height-adjustable driver's seat, 16-inch wheels, body-coloured front and rear bumpers, electric front windows, USB and AUX connection and front fog lights as standard.  The new Nav+ trim starts at £13,095 and adds even more useful equipment. In addition to the Air, the Nav + adds MediaNav Evolution (7-inch touchscreen multimedia system with satellite navigation), rear-parking sensors plus camera and 16-inch 'Tyrol' alloy wheels. It also features electric rear windows, heated and electrically-adjustable door mirrors, on-board computer, leather steering wheel and ’Graphite’ cloth upholstery.   Access and Air versions of the Duster are available with the 1.6 SCe 115 engine. The Nav+ is available with the TCe 125 engine and the well-proven 1.5 dCi 110 engine. All versions of the Duster can be specified with two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. SIXTH WIN IN A ROW FOR DACIA SANDERO AT WHAT CAR? AWARDS

The Dacia Sandero has been awarded the title of ‘Best Small Car for less than £12,000’ for the sixth consecutive year by What Car? at an awards ceremony in London this evening. The Sandero first picked up the award in 2013, following Dacia’s launch in the UK, and again in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. The no-nonsense supermini has now taken the honours once more, offering a class leading mix of quality, practicality, comfort and low running costs. Starting at just £5,995, its ‘shockingly affordable’ price tag is just half the amount of the category it competes in. Commenting on the decision to give the award to the Sandero for the sixth time, Steve Huntingford, Editor, What Car?, said: “It might be the UK’s cheapest new car, but don’t write the Sandero off as a bargain basement novelty – it’s surprisingly practical, with one of the largest boots in this class. You won’t find this much space for so little in any other new car. The Sandero also feels better to drive: the handling is tidy enough and the ride is surprisingly comfy for such a cheap car. You can buy a Sandero for less than £6,000, but we recommend spending a little more to get mid-range Ambiance trim. This adds niceties such as air-conditioning, central locking, electric front windows, a DAB radio and Bluetooth. It also replaces the standard black plastic bumpers with body-coloured ones that look a lot smarter.” Commenting on the result, Louise O’Sullivan, Head of Dacia UK said: “We’re incredibly pleased that the Sandero has been recognised by the judges at What Car? for an amazing sixth consecutive year. It just proves that the Sandero still offers customers even more value for money than higher priced cars with a surprising level of interior and exterior kit while remaining the most affordable new car in the UK.” The Dacia Sandero five-door hatchback is available in three trim levels with a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel engine. Pricing starts from £5,995, making it the lowest priced new car on sale in the UK today. The specific TCe 90 Ambiance version chosen by What Car? comes with features as standard such as air conditioning and DAB radio – it is the most affordable car on sale in the UK with air conditioning as standard. This is in addition to Bluetooth connectivity, electric windows and remote central locking. The Dacia brand continues to go from strength to strength in the UK with nearly 120,000 new Dacia vehicles sold in the last five years.

DACIA RATES AS ONE OF THE TOP BRANDS FOR RELIABILITY

Dacia has been rated as one the most reliable car brands out of 36 manufacturers in the 2017 Which? Car Guide – outperforming many well-established and premium brands. Dacia was awarded a five star brand reliability rating for its cars aged between zero to three years as well as its cars aged three to eight years old. The annual Which? Car Guide in 2017, measuring reliability and customer satisfaction, is based on feedback from more than 44,000 UK car owners based on their experience in the last 12 months. As well as breakdowns and faults, it considers repair costs, the time a car is off the road for repair and the most common fault types for each model. Commenting on the results, Louise O’Sullivan, Head of Dacia UK, said: “We’re delighted that Dacia has been rated as one of the most reliable car brands in the Which? Car Guide 2017. The results are yet another eliability of our models. The simple Dacia range offers great value for money motoring and the most affordable cars in their respective segments.” The owner rating is the latest in a number of accolades that Dacia has received in the UK since launching just over four years ago including What Car?’s ‘Best Small Car under £12,000’ for five consecutive years for the Sandero. Over four million Dacias have been sold since Groupe Renault reintroduced the brand in Europe in 2004.  Dacia was launched in the UK in 2013 and has sold over 100,000 cars to date.  For more information on the full Dacia range please contact us.

DACIA DUSTER COMMENDED AT AUTO EXPRESS NEW CAR AWARDS 2017

The New Dacia Duster received a commendation in the Best Small SUV category at last night’s Auto Express Awards. The New Dacia Duster was praised for its build quality, drive and simplicity, making it a top choice for drivers looking for a great value SUV.   Commenting on the commendation, Graham Hope, Editor at Auto Express said: "The Dacia Duster continues to impress as a no-nonsense, well-built car that's good to drive and exceptional value for money compared to many other cars in this sector of the market. It should definitely be on your shortlist if you are after an affordable small SUV." Vincent Tourette, Managing Director, Groupe Renault UK, said of the result: “The Dacia brand is continuing to draw fans, not only in the industry, but also UK drivers with its range of simple, great value cars. It’s wonderful to see that Dacia cars are proving such a hit since launching in the UK just four years ago and we recently sold our 100,000th car. Having recently refreshed the range, we’re delighted that Auto Express have commended the New Duster in the Small SUV Category.” The New Dacia Duster line-up starts at a ‘shockingly affordable’ £9,495 and was recently updated with DAB radio as standard from Ambiance trim as well as new upholstery to the interior for Access and Laureate trim levels. To the exterior, the Duster receives new, square headlights, bringing the SUV up-to-date and complementing its robust chrome grille. There are also several new options available on the upgraded Duster, such as 16-inch ‘Tyrol’ diamond-cut alloy wheels, adding further presence to the SUV. Rear parking sensors are also available for the first time as a factory-fit option, offering peace of mind to customers when reversing. In addition to this, a rear parking camera is also available as an option on Lauréate trim and above. To the interior, all new part-leather ‘Aspira’ upholstery is available, offering more refinement as well as practicality. There are also a number of other enhancements to the Duster line-up, including a new petrol TCe 125 engine, offering customers the option of a more powerful petrol engine. Available on Lauréate trim and above, the inclusion of the new engine in the line-up means that customers now have the choice of a petrol or diesel variant at every trim level. Finally, a new, top-of-the-range trim level, Prestige, has been introduced to the line-up. On top of the Lauréate trim, Prestige receives 16-inch ‘Tyrol’ diamond-cut alloy wheels, MediaNav Evolution and rear-parking camera as standard, offering a price walk of £900 from Lauréate and representing a customer saving of £250. The Auto Express Commendation comes on the back of a range of other industry awards for the no-nonsense brand, including the Dacia Sandero being awarded the title of “Best Small Car under £12,000” by What Car? for the last five consecutive years.
