Latest News: The Quadrifoglio badge once again lives up to its name, amassing two more accolades for the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio at the annual What Car? Car of the Year Awards 2019. Judged by the expert team at What Car?, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio took home ‘Performance Car of the Year’, following its ‘Sports Car’ category win in 2018, while the Stelvio Quadrifoglio fought off stiff competition to take the crown for ‘Best Sports SUV for more than £60,000’. The Giulia Quadrifoglio came in for praise from Steve Huntingford, editor of What Car?, saying “It’s often said that getting to the top is easier than staying there. So by that reckoning, the Giulia Quadrifoglio’s second Car of the Year category win is arguably a greater success than its first. But it should be no surprise – after all, we’re talking about a comfortable, spacious, well-equipped saloon that’s more fun to drive than rivals costing tens of thousands more”. Steve Huntingford, What Car? Editor said of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio: “The hottest version of the Stelvio SUV is outrageously fast, but still feels light and responsive thanks to steering that's super-quick without making the car feel nervous. Add in great body control and four-wheel drive traction and the Quadrifoglio continually encourages you to make the most of its performance”. Both the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and the Stelvio Quadrifoglio are powered by a 510hp, 600Nm Bi-Turbo V6 petrol engine, which allows them to reach a top speed of 191mph and 176mph respectively, while reaching 62mph from zero in just 3.9 seconds in the Giulia and 3.8 seconds in the Stelvio. Arnaud Leclerc, Managing Director, FCA UK, commented: “Alfa Romeo cars have always appealed to the heart with their Italian passion, flair and dynamics, but these awards show that the latest models also appeal to the head. To see the pinnacles of the new Alfa Romeo range lauded by the experts at What Car? makes these wins even more rewarding.” To coincide with these wins, Alfa Romeo UK have secured further right-hand-drive allocation of the limited edition Giulia Quadrifoglio NRING and Stelvio Quadrifoglio NRING models, priced from £82,500 OTR and £89,500 OTR respectively. Just 108 editions of each model are available for the whole EMEA region, celebrating the records achieved by Alfa Romeo at the legendary Nurburgring. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is available now priced from £63,500 OTR, while the Stelvio Quadrifoglio starts from £69,990 OTR.  To find out more about the award-winning Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio ranges, speak to our Sales Teams at Bedford, Northampton and Kings Lynn

HYUNDAI MOTOR LAUNCHES ONE-OF-A-KIND IMMERSIVE FAN EXPERIENCE FOR UEFA EURO 2016 :

Hyundai Motor UK is launching a one-of-a-kind, innovative ‘FanDome’ experience in King’s Cross, London which will host 45,000 guests across 45 games of UEFA EURO 2016. Fans across the country are encouraged to apply for free tickets for the chance to experience football like never before through a world-first live reactive 360-degree audio-visual experience.

The Hyundai FanDome instantly reacts in real time to the action in live matches with everything from goals scored, red and yellow cards, penalty shootouts, national anthems and even injury time triggering a unique immersive audio-visual response.

A system of giant 360-degree screens surrounds the entire interior of the FanDome. Four metres high and the length of a football pitch (91 metres), this custom built display encloses fans in ‘Football Heaven’ - a stylised world of football. Innovative 16-projector display screens made up of 36.8 Mega Pixels will also allow fans to see every blade of French grass on every pitch.

The ‘Football Heaven’ will feature renowned actor and former Wales international player Vinnie Jones and his on screen team of cherubs. The humorous animations will raise anticipation ahead of each match, opening the gates of ‘Football Heaven’ and reacting to key match moments. Fans will glimpse cherubs wheeling in cannons and playing tubas as they celebrate live match successes and see them hiding in the clouds to avoid the Grim Reaper if a red card is shown.

For each match there will be a team of five technical experts delivering the live reactive audio-visual elements. Visitors will be given infrared LED wristbands in key matches that will be stimulated by live elements in the game, according to which team they are supporting. In certain matches a scent of cut grass will be dispersed throughout the FanDome, giving visitors the ultimate ‘Football Heaven’ experience.

Vinnie Jones comments, “It’s the next best place to watch the Euros if you can’t be there in person. What Hyundai has done here with the creation of the FanDome is really innovative and puts the fans first. I’m always keen to give back and continue to be involved in a sport I’m so passionate about. I’d encourage all football fans to come down and see me in action in the Hyundai FanDome’s ‘Football Heaven’.”

Tony Whitehorn, President & CEO, Hyundai Motor UK comments, “We are thrilled to be able to put fans first and share their passion for the sport by creating this innovative and unique football experience. We hope that for those who can’t get to France, this will be the best place to experience the matches. The Hyundai FanDome is a celebration of our long standing partnership with football and marks our official support of UEFA EURO 16.”

Guests attending the Hyundai FanDome will also be in with a chance of winning one of three pairs of tickets to the UEFA EURO Finals. Each winner will also receive hospitality, accommodation and travel costs alongside their tickets.

The Hyundai FanDome will broadcast 45 matches from the first Group Stage match today – Friday 10th June – up to the final, to be held on Sunday 10th July.

All guests will be encouraged to make a small text donation of £2 to Hyundai Motor UK’s official charity partner, Street League (Text GOAL25 followed by the amount to 70070).  Street League aims to change the lives of young people through the power of football and to help to put an end to structural youth unemployment in the UK. The charity provides a structured 10-week football and education programme which develops vital employability skills such as communication, teamwork and goal-setting. It also offers nationally-recognised qualifications.
