Dacia at the Auto Trader Awards 2019

Dacia has scooped two top prizes at the Auto Trader New Car Awards 2019, being awarded ‘Best Value Brand’ for the second consecutive year and the Duster SUV awarded ‘Best Value New Car’. Voted for by 63,000 real car owners, Dacia was a firm favourite with the public, proving the brand’s value for money credentials. Unlike other car awards, the annual Auto Trader New Car Award winners are based on the opinions of those who have bought, driven and lived with their new vehicles. Commenting on Dacia’s wins, Ivan Aistrop, Auto Trader Road Test Editor, said: “Value is at the very heart of the Dacia brand ethos, and the two awards show that the message has not only got through to UK car buyers, but it’s also really struck a chord with them. Everyone likes to feel like they’ve got a good deal, and with a Dacia, you can be extremely confident that you have. No other car company can offer off you such a large amount of metal for such an aggressive price, and that’s a very appealing prospect indeed.” As well as highlighting the value of the brand, Duster was also praised for its good looks, practicality, and levels of equipment in its category win. Speaking on the latest award wins for Dacia, Ben Fletcher, Head of Dacia UK, said: “It’s great to see that Dacia’s incredible value for money offer is resonating so strongly with UK car owners and our cars are proving to be top choices every day for drivers. But value isn’t just about affordable prices, by keeping things simple we’re able to offer high quality cars with proven reliability.” In 2018 Dacia was named as the most recommended car brand in the UK in a YouGov survey, beating 34 other manufacturers. Dacia sold 700,798 vehicles worldwide last year, an increase of 7 per cent. Sandero is still the most popular vehicle for retail sales in Europe while Duster ranks as the most popular SUV for retail sales in Europe.

Double win for Dacia at the WhatCar? Awards

Dacia picked up two wins in the annual What Car? Awards. The Sandero triumphed for the seventh-consecutive year, winning ‘Best Small Car for less than £12,000’, while the All-New Duster won in the ‘Best Family SUV for less than £18,000’ category. The What Car? Awards are among the most prestigious in the automotive industry and reflect the opinions of the vastly experienced road test team from What Car? magazine. Since it first picked up the award in 2013, the Dacia Sandero has consistently delighted customers that choose the no-nonsense supermini. Priced from £6,995, the Sandero is well-equipped and also benefits from low running costs. Six years on from its UK launch the model still represents ‘shockingly affordable’ value. Steve Huntingford, What Car? Editor, said: “The Sandero offers exceptional value, particularly in mid-level Essential trim. And no car available for similar money has anything like as much space and practicality.” The All-New Dacia Duster was awarded the title of ‘Best Family SUV for less than £18,000’ at this evening’s ceremony. The all-new version of the Duster has brand new exterior styling with a totally revised dashboard and interior that provide enhanced comfort and quality. The All-New Dacia Duster SUV is available from £9,995 in a choice of four trim levels: Access, Essential, Comfort and Prestige. Equipment available on the Duster includes options never before available on the Dacia range such as keyless entry, climate control, a Blind Spot Warning system and a Multiview Camera that includes four cameras located around the vehicle. Commenting on the win for the Duster, Huntingford said: “There really are very few cars on sale in any class that can match the Duster’s value-for-money offering. It has loads of room inside, a good boot, and the 1.5-litre diesel model is punchy too.” Speaking on the latest award wins for the brand, Louise O’Sullivan, Head of Dacia UK, said: “It’s a terrific accolade for the Sandero to have won this What Car? Award in every year that it’s been on sale. We’re proud of the car and the most satisfying thing is that the customers love it too. The All-New Duster has been launched to strong critical acclaim and continues Dacia’s ethos of offering quality cars at exceptional value-for-money prices.”

Dacia Owners Appreciate Value For Money

Dacia Voted Number One Car Manufacturer for Brand Advocacy in 2018. Confirming its incredible popularity among owners, Dacia has been revealed as the UK’s top car manufacturer for brand advocacy, in a list compiled by YouGov in its BrandIndex. Dacia came in with a total score of 67.4, beating 34 other car manufacturers, as well as coming in ninth out of the top 10 brands in all sectors overall. The 2018 Advocacy Rankings list the top 10 brands in all sectors for customer advocacy, which asks respondents to the YouGov survey whether they would recommend the brand to a friend or colleague, with only respondents who are current or former customers of a given brand interviewed. Since launching in the UK in 2013 Dacia has sold more than 140,000 cars with more than 5 million Dacias sold globally. Dacia continues to prove popular with its owners and is regularly voted amongst top car brands for both customer satisfaction, reliability and affordability. The award-winning Dacia range consists of the All-New Duster SUV, the Sandero supermini – still the most affordable new car on sale in the UK, the Sandero Stepway, the UK’s most popular Dacia model, the Logan MCV and crossover-inspired Logan MCV Stepway.

The All-New Award Wiining Dacia Duster

The All-New Dacia Duster has won Value Car of the Year at the first ever Sun Motor Awards. Proving the popularity of the model, the Duster was voted for not just by a panel of journalists but also by the public in an online vote and praised for its build quality, off-road capabilities and affordability. “We did the maths — you can have a Dacia Duster for the same price as your daily coffee. The fact Sun readers can own a new family car for less than £10,000 in today’s world is downright amazing. Using well proven Renault parts, build quality is high, and its spec-sheet far exceeds its price tag. Surprisingly good off road, too. Without doubt the best car ten grand can buy": commented Nick Francis, Motoring Editor, The Sun on Sunday. Taking place for the first time, The Motor Awards, organised by the publishers of The Sun, The Times, The Sunday Times and talkSPORT, gave the chance for the readers and listeners to vote for their favourite new cars alongside experts in the motoring industry. Speaking on the latest award win for Dacia, Louise O’Sullivan, Head of Dacia UK, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to celebrate another award win for All-New Duster, particularly as this was voted for by the public as well as industry experts. It’s brilliant to see the All-New Duster recognised for its affordability combined with top-notch quality, which means amazing value for money for our customers.”  All-New Duster went on sale in the UK earlier this year, starting at £9,995, with a host of improvements over the previous model. Available in four trim levels, Access, Essential, Comfort and top-of-the-range Prestige, every single body panel on the car is new, with a fully revised interior for better quality and comfort as well as featuring many new technologies and safety features never before available on the Dacia range.
